Content Discription & Summary
"The Nest – The Travel Diaries" is the first book by Benjamin Wohlgemuth (
born 1979-05-06 in Hanover ); which followed the second novel
"Cover-Up". This first touching story, in its third version in 2017 [
the previous one ( second ) was irrevocably lost ], was accidentally and
unintentionally created in its original form at the end of 2012. It
includes, among other things, 101 panoramic photos, a drawing and a
poem.
In
"The Nest – The Travel Diaries," Jeremy's diary tells about his
experiences and impressions from his home of choice country, the
Philippines ( Luzon – Maynila and Palawan – El Nido ), as well as his
emotions and motivations. His existence was destroyed at the age of 18
by the youth welfare office, despite all adversities he won a fortune,
enough for a retirement in Southeast Asia, which he lost by stock market
manipulation. Hopeless? after a short while, Jeremy returns to his
island kingdom, with the plan to end his life there if his fortune
shouldn't smile on him – but until then to live properly. Here he
discovers the indescribable and breathtaking beauty of nature, as well
as the everyday life and poverty of the people there, while he
experiences his adventures.
With
"The Nest – The Travel Diaries" a visually stunning and moving work has
been created, which represents a very successful genre mix of (
fictional ) life report / travelogue ( story ) and illustrated book. If
you like stylistically works like "Jim Carroll – In The Streets Of New
York" and "Hape Kerkeling – I'm Off Then" or National Geographic
travelogues, illustrated books or if you are just interested in other
countries, you might find it here and be entertained. Immerse yourself
in the hell of Jeremy and discover a paradise.
